As a former Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the largest county in Arkansas, I have the experience to handle Violent Crimes, Drug Crimes, DWI/DUI Defense, Sex Crimes, and Thefts. I have seen it all in my time as a Prosecuting Attorney and Criminal Defense Attorney. Let me go to work for you and fight the allegations against you.

Criminal charges can be life altering and there are steps that need to be taken after your arrest in order to help raise the best possible defense in your case.

Once you have been arrested on a criminal charge you will appear before a District Court Judge who will set a bond for you. This can range from an Own Recognizance Bond (meaning no cost to you) all the way to Hundreds of Thousands Dollars depending on the crime or crimes. After you receive a bond and enter a not guilty plea you will be given another court date. This next court date will likely be a Plea and Arraignment either in District Court for Misdemeanors or Circuit Court for Felony Charges. After this time you will either need to contact a bondsman or if someone has posted bond for you then you will processed out. If you cannot make bond it does not mean you will sit in jail until the end of the case. But, what you do in the first 24 hours after your arrest can be crucial to any defense. Having an attorney to talk to concerning the charges and possible defenses needs to be done as soon as possible. I have the experience to file the proper motions and preserve the proper evidence so that it is not routinely destroyed. I can also request a bond hearing in the matter in order to have your bond lowered and give you the chance to get out of jail and help with any defenses. Criminal charges do not mean the end of the world for you, but having a good defense attorney on your side is crucial.
